Eco-community Building

We care extensively about the earth and also the future development of human communities, encouraging self-organization, co-management, democracy, and equal participation. We hope to build an ecological community in Nam Chung that embodies friendship of mutual aid and love, equal participation, co-learning, and symbiosis with the natural environment while living out these values in everyday life. The ‘Advice Process’ is currently used as the decision-making method within the Partnership for Nature Education and Conservation (PNEC) community in Nam Chung, and it supports individual/group autonomy that allows anyone and everyone to be a decision-maker. This stimulus of proactive consultation and feedback culture is seen to be based on the premise of mutual trust as well as the belief in the power of collective wisdom.
